Now I lay me down to sleep.......

I close my eyes and count some sheep ;)


Happy FriYay everyone!

Today's post is going to be a quick little round up of what I like to do to unwind after a long day/week in order to get to sleep. (haha that rhymed) 

I love to set the mood and light some soothing candles like this yummy Marshmallow Fireside candle from Bath & Body Works. I'll also play some smooth jazz tunes on my iPad and hop into a nice warm shower.


While I'm in the shower I love to use this Stress Relief body scrub. The scent of eucalyptus essential oil helps to clear my mind after a long day and the spearmint essential oil scent helps to brighten my mood. After my shower I slather on this Sleep lavender chamomile body cream. The lavender and chamomile essential oil scents really help to relax and quiet my mind and help me get ready for bed.

Next I'll make myself a nice cup of ginger tea.

I like to make my own tea by combining 1/4 tsp. of organic ground ginger, one packet of organic Stevia, 1 Tbs. of fresh lime juice and add that to 12 oz. of boiling water. It's a nice way to warm up on these cool Fall nights and the ginger is a great way to settle my tummy at night.






Then finally I get all comfy in bed, curl up with my hot cup of ginger tea and settle in for a bedtime story ;) Reading helps to quiet my mind and after about an hour, my eyes are ready to shut and then I'm off to dreamland.
