December Glossybox #MirrorMirrorMonday

Happy Monday everyone!

I hope you all had a great weekend and got all of your Christmas shopping done. All of my presents are wrapped and waiting to be unwrapped on Christmas Day! Four more days to go!

Today I am going to be sharing with you my December Glossybox.
Look at how Christmas-y the box is!

Now for a look inside.....

First up is this creme lipstick from Gold Label Cosmetics. I wasn't super excited about this product. I'm not really a lipstick wearer and I definitely don't look good in bright red. I will be giving this product to mama ;) She seems to like it a lot better than me! :)

I was excited to try this next product but unfortunately mine was broken :( This is an eyeshadow created by Glossybox. It is a pretty mauve color. I wish I would have been able to try it out. I will attempt to put it back together with some alcohol and maybe that'll do the trick.

Next up is this High Definition Mascara from MTJ Cosmetics. I really like this mascara!

Look at how cool the applicator tip is! I love using it on my lower lashes. It is such a nice creamy formula and doesn't smudge as the day goes on.

I always love getting nail polish in my monthly subscription boxes! They are usually the best and coolest colors. This polish by Color Club did not disappoint! It is a little hard to tell from the picture but the color is a beautiful blood red color. Perfect for the holidays.

Right now the website is having a sale, Buy One, Get One Half Off! They have some really awesome colors and the names do not disappoint as well!

Last but not least is this all-natural body scrub from Simple Sugars. I got mine in the scent cranberry. It smells so yummy and works so well. Just give it a a good mix before you use it for mix all the natural oils back into the sugar and scrub away. I am a big fan of this product. It is definitely the best thing I got in this month's box! They have so many other scents on their site, I can't wait to try some more out!

I hope you all enjoyed todays post! If you are interested in trying out Glossybox for yourself, click on the link below to start your subscription now! :)

Thank you for stopping by!

December Ipsy Bag

Happy Friday my loves!

Can you believe that Christmas is a week away!? I am so excited!

Today I am going to be sharing with you what I got in my December Ipsy bag. I think that this has been my favorite bag yet. Even the bag itself if by far the prettiest one I have gotten.

How cute are all the little cartoon versions of all the Ipsy girls!? Now for a look inside....

First up is a sugar lip scrub from Skinn by Dimitri James. I couldn't wait to try this! During the colder  months not only do my hands get dry but my lips do too. No matter how much Aquaphor I put on, it never fails that my lips get flaky. This sugar scrub is a life saver! It smells super yummy too!

Next up is this Hydrating Coconut Oil hair treatment by Marc Anthony. If you don't know by now, I am obsessed with coconut! This stuff smells good enough to eat! I almost wish it wasn't for my hair haha I would love to use this as a body cream! I can wait to give this deep conditioning treatment a whirl.

Yay! My eyebrows are getting some Ipsy love this month! This brow duo tool from Crown Brush is the perfect thing to fill in my brows and then fluff them up with the spooly end.

I have known of the brand Pacifica for a while but I have never had the opportunity to try out any of their products. I was so excited to see this natural lipstick in my Ipsy bag this month. It's 100% natural and made with minerals.

I got my lipstick in the color Nudie Red. It is such pretty color and it really compliments the natural color of my lips. What's even better is that you can get this product in particular at Target!

The last thing I got was this nail polish from Formula X in the color Revved Up. This nail polish reminds me of the one I got in my Limited Edition Winter GlossyBox by Trust Fund in the color Champagne Socialite. I can't wait to paint my nails! This is the perfect color to wear for New Years Eve!

I hope you all enjoyed today's post! If you are interested in trying out Ipsy for yourself, click on the link below to start receiving a bag that's perfect for you!

Have fun and good luck with all of your holiday shopping! Thank you all for stopping by!

I hope you all had a great week and an even better weekend!

Healthy Banana Muffins #TastyTuesday

Happy Tuesday!

I love baking! For the most part I would rather eat dessert than regular food lol! With that being said, I always try to find ways to make some of my favorite baked goods a little healthier. I had a batch of bananas that were starting to turn so I decided to find a recipes for healthy banana bread.
Thanks to Cookie and Kate I found the perfect one! The only thing I did differently was I made them into muffins :) Here's a peek at my Sunday baking fun!

Yummy!! I will put the recipe below but I have also provided a link to the recipe above :)

INGREDIENTS
  • ⅓ cup melted coconut oil or extra-virgin olive oil or high quality vegetable oil*
  • ½ cup honey or maple syrup
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup mashed bananas (about 2½ medium or 2 large bananas)
  • ¼ cup milk of choice or water
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, plus more to swirl on top
  • 1¾ cups white whole wheat flour or regular whole wheat flour
  • Totally optional: ½ cup mix-ins like chopped walnuts or pecans, chocolate chips, raisins, chopped dried fruit, fresh banana slices...

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the oil and honey together together with a whisk. Add the eggs and beat well, then whisk in the mashed bananas and milk. (If your coconut oil solidifies on contact with cold ingredients, simply let the bowl rest in a warm place for a few minutes, like on top of your stove, or warm it for about 10 seconds in the microwave.)
  3. Add the baking soda, vanilla, salt and cinnamon, and whisk to blend. Lastly, switch to a big spoon and stir in the flour, just until combined. Some lumps are ok! If you're adding any additional mix-ins, gently fold them in now.
  4. Pour the batter into your greased loaf pan and sprinkle lightly with cinnamon. If you'd like a pretty swirled effect, run the tip of a knife across the batter in a zig-zag pattern.
  5. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the bread cool in the loaf pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool for 20 minutes before slicing.

Now for the best part! Perfect golden brown muffins hot out of the oven!

I hope I didn't make you too hungry! Thanks again to Cookie and Kate for this amazingly yummy recipe!
Happy baking everyone!

My Nightly Skincare Routine #MirrorMirrorMonday

Happy Monday my pretties!

I hope you all had a great weekend! The countdown continues....

11 more days until Christmas!!

Today I am going to be sharing with you my nightly skincare routine.
I love taking care of my skin and I really enjoy taking my makeup off at night and using all the products I have acquired from Sephora. I will be showing you my step by step routine with a link for every product I use.
Now this is the skincare routine I use. My skin is pretty normal meaning it's not oily and not dry, I have a balance to my skin. These product may not work for everyone, it's important to know your skin and know WHAT your skin needs. After 27 years of washing my face, I have finally found the routine that works for me :) Yes this routine requires quite a few steps, but I truly believe skincare is so important and that you should really take the time to take care of your face :)

Step 1: Oil Base Cleanser
I always do a double cleanse when washing my face. I start out with an oil based cleanser to help break down my makeup as well as any dirt that an oil cleanser can help get get rid of. I would definitely recommend this cleanser from Boscia. It has a nice clean scent to it and is a nice gentle formula to use on your skin.

Step 2: Water Base Cleanser
Philosophy Purity Cleanser
Part two of a double cleanse is to wash with a water based cleanser. I love this cleanser from Philosophy! I does such great job not only cleaning off whatever makeup is left from the oil cleanser but it takes of my mascara in a snap!

Step 3: Exfoliator
Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Pads
I mentioned these pads in a previous post. These Nip+Fab pads are a great chemical and physical exfoliator for your face. Chemical meaning the glycolic acid helps to break down any dead skin cells and sebum and physical meaning the pads are texturized so they are buffing away any dirt and oil to reveal smoother, cleaner skin.

Step 4: Toner
This toner is one of my favorites. My trainers Karina and Katrina recommend this toner in a skincare video they did. First plus is that its made with coconut water! Anything coconut has my name all over it! next its natural and gentle. The whole point of a toner is just to bring balance back to the skin after washing it. It smells really nice too! :)

Step 5: Eye Cream
Drunk Elephant Shaba Complex Eye Serum
Best eye serum ever!!! As I have mentioned in the past, I am obsessed with the Drunk Elephant skincare line. They have the best and most effective products! I always apply my eye serum before I put any other serums or creams on my face. The eye serum creates a barrier around the eyes to protect it from any creams that my burn this sensitive area.

Step 6: Night Serum
Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum
Just like the eye serum, this glycols night serum is my Holy Grail product! My skincare routine wouldn't be complete without this serum! Again the glycolic acid that is in this product is going to help breakdown any dead skin cells and gently exfoliate and treat the skin to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It's a little pricy but it is worth (in my opinion) every cent!

Step 7: Moisturizer
Belif Aqua Bomb
Lastly is my moisturizer. I am a believer lol! This aqua bomb is unlike any other moisturizer that I have used. I can't even describe how well it works, its something that you have to try for yourself! It starts off as a gel but as soon as you apply this cooling cream to your skin it melts and smooths out so nicely across your skin. Plus it doesn't leave your face feeling sticky or greasy.

I hope you all enjoyed todays post! Let me know in the comments below what some of your Holy Grail skincare products are!
