Today I am sharing with you the goodies I purchased on my latest trip to Ulta!
Ulta is currently running their 21 Days of Beauty event. Each day of this sale is a chance to purchase some of your favorite beauty items at as much as 50% off!! The even runs from March 13th-April 1st so hurry up and get there before the sale is over!
I needed to pick up a new lip gloss as well. I usually use the It Cosmetics Vanity Lip Flush Butter Gloss in the shade Perfect Nude, but unfortunately they didn't have it in stock :( So I wandered over to the Buxom section and browsed through their collection. I have used their glosses before and knew I couldn't go wrong with the brand. I purchased the Full-On Lip Polish in the shade Sandy which is a beautiful nude color. I smiled when I found this product because my doggie's name was Sandy so now every time I wear it I think of my pretty girl <3
I hope you all enjoyed today's post!
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!!
Welcome to this week's edition of What I Wore Wednesday!
Unfortunately this is a shorter post because last week I was extremely sick :( I was in bed all day Friday and Saturday and went our briefly for church on Sunday. My outfit mainly consisted of VS flannel pajamas and my big bathrobe haha trust me not pretty ;)
So here is a round up of the things I wore at the start of the week ;)
I hope you all had a great weekend! Today is a very special day because it is my brother's birthday! Happy Birthday Jonathan! I love you lots and lots! :)
Today I am sharing with you my latest makeup find and obsession! It is the new Tarte Rainforest of the Sea collection! I have seen a lot of positive reviews on the internet about this new line and knew I had to try it out for myself and let me tell you, these products did not disappoint! Packed with marine botanicals, the whole line provides you with the benefits of algae and marine flower extracts that'll help to hydrate, brighten and give your skin a radiant finish.
Lets start off with the packaging. This ombre blue color is just gorgeous! It makes me want to dive right into the sea! Since it's a little too cold for that right now haha lets just dive into the products ;)
Water Foundation & Aquacealer Concealer: These products are packaged in beautiful glass bottles and the tops have this gold and purple ombre color that reminds me of a glorious sunset by the sea. I have fallen in LOVE with this foundation and concealer. They are both water-based so the are super hydrating to the skin and super lightweight but at the same time they provide full and lasting coverage. Since they are water based, these product are also great for people with oily or sensitive skin. (FYI- I bought the shade Fair Neutral in the Foundation and Fair in the Aquacealer)
The products themselves are a work of art. I love displaying them on my bathroom counter and on my vanity. They look like something Ariel would use ;) #MermaidBeauty
Deep Dive Cleansing Gel: The first products I purchased from this line were the Foundation, Aquacealer and the Skin Twinkle palette. In the Foundation box I received a sample of this face wash. As soon as I used it I was hooked, I jumped onto Sephora.com and placed my order for it! Literally one pump cleanses off all of my makeup! It also hydrates my skin just enough without making it greasy. With it being a gel cleanser it helps to control the oil in my T-zone as well.
Marine Boosting Mist: This 4-in-1 mist works as a primer, makeup setting spray, hydrating mist and a skin refresher. It smells like oranges! I sprits this on my face before I apply my makeup and the again when I'm done to set my makeup. It'll help your makeup last for up to 12 hours! Then I packing it in my handbag to help refresh my makeup throughout the day.
Skin Twinkle Lighting Palette: This palette is literally the 'highlight' of this line!! haha! ;) The two end colors are highly pigmented! One is more of a champagne/gold color and the other is more of a warmer pinky color. The middle highlight is a flatter based one, but I LOVE using it to brighten up my under eyes and correct any darkness. I am obsessed!
Quench Lip Rescue (Opal): This lip balm is amazing! I feel like my lips are being flooded with hydration every time I apply it. They provide a beautiful sheer color and give my lips this gorgeous sheen.
I hope you all enjoyed today's post! Let me know in the comments below if you have tried any of these products and which ones are your favs!
I you follow me on Instagram you probably saw that this past weekend I went on a little trip to Target!
Aside from Sephora, Target is my other home away from home haha! Target always seems to have the BEST stuff and they seem to get all the new items first. I LOVE LOVE LOVE all the items I picked up! Keep scrolling to see all the goodies I found :)
As always, thank you so so much for stopping by and happy shopping!!
Curate Bars: These are SOOOOOOO good!!!! I saw an advertisement for these bars in People Magazine and I have been on a mission to find them. I wasn't surprised when I cam across them in Target. They are so yummy and FILLING! There are five different flavors available and I was not disappointed by these two!
Starbucks Rwanda Rift Valley K-Cups: This coffee is so good! I am actually drinking a cup of it as I type this blog post :) This blend has such a great flavor I would definitely recommend it! Plus they were on sale for only $9.99!
Kind Breakfast Bars (Peanut Butter): I don't know what it is but lately I have been craving peanut butter!! Probably because I gave chocolate up for Lent ;) This bar is so sweet and satisfying and is chock full of super grains that keep me full all morning.
Tresemme Beauty-Full Volume Hairspray: If you saw my February Favorites post, you'll know how much I love the new Reverse System Pre-Wash Conditioner and Shampoo. This hairspray is amazing! I don't like when my hair feels crunchy from hairspray, then it usually starts to look greasy and heavy. This hairspray gives me just the right amount of hold and volume without leaving my hair heavy or crunchy!
NYX Cosmetics Color Correcting Concealer: Yes I am jumping on the color correcting bandwagon! If you are looking to try this trend out, I would highly recommend this palette! It's SO inexpensive and the concealer formation is so creamy making it easy to blend out the colors and it doesn't look heavy under your foundation.
If you are interested in me doing a color correction tutorial please let me know in the comments below :)
Defy & Inspire Nail Lacquer: I almost hit the floor when I found these!!!!! Every Target that I have been to has been sold out of these nail lacquers and they have finally been restocked! The color range is amazing and the names are so witty! The green lacquer is called Mint Julep, the iridescent white lacquer is called Petticoat (anyone immediately think of 'Chocolate' ;) ) and the blue lacquer that I currently have on my nails is called Pack your Bags.
Let me know if you have tried any of these products listed above and what some of your favorite Target buys are :)
