I LOVE to organize! So when it's time for the seasons to change, you can bet I am ready to transition my wardrobe for the upcoming season.
Now I know it's only September 17th, but the first day of Autumn is next week, right?? ;) It's never to early to get a jump start on your fall fashion wardrobe. Today I am going to be sharing some helpful tips I use to store last seasons fashions and transition my wardrobe into the upcoming one.
Here's a look at my closet before. Its filled to the brim with summer dresses that I need to take out to make room for all my sweaters.
Instead of storing all of my things from last season in rubbermaid containers, I use the extra large ziplock storage bags. It's a great space saving idea which makes it easier for me to flatten the bags out and slide them under my bed.
I then remove all my long sleeve shirts and sweaters from the bags as well as take all of my dresses out of closet. This way I can visually see what I need to make room for.
Once that's done, it's time to fold up all the dresses and begin to fill the ziplock bags.
Then using my vacuum, I suck out all the air from the bags and flatten them out. I pile them up and slip them under my bed to store then for the winter.
Then VIOLA! A clean, organized closet ready for the fall :)
While I was at it, I decided to put a little Autumn touch on my room. ;)
I got these decorations from Home Goods a few years ago. I love them so much and they give my room just the right amount of fall pop! You can't go wrong with a little sparkle either ;)
I hope these tips were helpful for you and inspired you to start your fall transition too!
Let me know any helpful tips and tricks you may use when organizing and getting ready for Autumn.
Thanks for stopping by!
