Pop the Bubbly! # FacialFriday

Friday, August 26

Happy Friday everyone!

Wow this week flew by! I can't believe next week we wrap up another month and begin our countdown to first day of Fall! So in honor of the upcoming Labor Day weekend I wanted to celebrate with a little bubbly......actually more like a Bubble Face Mask!

I have been dying to try one of these bubble masks out so I placed an order on ELF Cosmetics to see what the chatter was all about.  If any of you follow me on Snapchat you would have seen the silliness that ensued while I used this mask. (If you don't follow me my Snap is @Strawberrybld13)

Along with the Hydrating Bubble Mask I purchased their Hydrating Gel Melt Cleanser and a Facial Massager. As I have mentioned in the past, I always do a double cleanse at night my first step being an oil based cleanser and then following with a water based one. I decided to give their gel melt cleanser a try and the Facial Massager helps to relieve facial tension and helps to encourage absorption of your moisturizer. For $4 you can't beat it!

There really isn't a smell to the cleanser so it won't irritate or bother anyone who doesn't like fragrance in their cleansers and should be okay for people with sensitive skin. It did a great job of taking off my make-up!

So now that my skin is clean an prepped, it's time for the fun part!

LOVE the pump top! Keeps all the goodness in and all the bad stuff out! This is also better so you don't over use it or scoop out too much product.

After dampening my skin, I started to apply a think layer of the mask over my entire face, avoiding my eye area.

You can already see it starting to foam up!

Once applied, let the mask sit for 5 - 10 minutes and then massage the bubbles into the skin and rinse well with warm water. So to keep myself occupied I did a little Snapping ;)

My face looked like Mrs. Doubtfire after she stuck her face it the cake!! HELLLOOO!!

My skin was literally GLOWING after I rinsed away the bubbles! Now I understand what all the hype is about! This mask is so cool and so much fun!!! It was a little tingly on my face but nothing bothersome. I can't wait to do it again!

I finished my Friday Facial off with a little facial massage and off to bed I went :)

I hope you all enjoyed today's post! If you try out this mask let me know what you think!

Thanks for stopping by and have an amazing weekend!

DRUNK in Love

Monday, August 8

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend!

I am so excited about today's blog post! As you can see in the title I am DRUNK in LOVE :)
With what you may ask??

Drunk Elephant Skincare!!

With the beautiful, colorful packaging and the catchy name, Drunk Elephant grabs your attention even before the product touches your face!

A little info on how the name came about. Every product contains Marula Oil. In Africa, where the Marula fruit grows, it is myth that when the ripe Marula fruit falls off the tree, the elephants eat the fruit and as it begins to ferment in their bellies, they appear to become intoxicated. Lol!

Founded and created by Tiffany Masterson, Drunk Elephant is a line of non-toxic, safe, and highly effective products. Like I said before, the common factor that each of these products have is Marula Oil. Loaded with Vitamin E and some of the highest levels of omega 6 & 9, this oil helps to hydrate the skin and absorbs quickly without leaving your face greasy, oily, or tacky.

Laid out below is a little guide of how to use each product from morning to night and the order in which to use them. I will provide a link to every product as well and what's even better is that the full line is now available at Sephora!

First thing in the morning I wash my face with the JuJu Bar. This gentle soap-free bar deeply cleanses and exfoliates the skin with the use of thermal mud and bamboo power which helps to rid the skin of excess oil and any skin clogging impurities.

Before I put any products on my face, I always make sure I apply my Shaba Complex Eye Cream. This eye cream is truly amazing! This serum is formulated to rid any signs of under eye aging such as puffiness, fine lines and dark circles. It has a truly unique tip applicator that pumps out just the right amount of product. This is the best type of container for an eye product in that it keeps the serum packed air tight keeping it safe from bacteria on your hands as well as exposure to the air which could decrease the products efficacy.

Next up is the C-Firma Day Serum. This serum is packed with antioxidants and fruit enzymes that transform into Vitamin D. It works to correct and prevent photoaging which is damage that is caused by the sun. The serum helps to even out skin tone and stimulate collagen regrowth.

The last step of my morning routine is to apply the Umbra Sheer Physical Defense SPF 30. This broad spectrum sunscreen protects the skin against UVA and UVB rays. Not only does this SPF not smell like suncreen, which is awesome in my book, but it just won Allure's 2015 Best of Product Award for Best Natural Product!

Now here's my night time line-up :)

The first step is to wash my face with the Pekee Bar. This is another soap-free bar that gently removes any dirt, oil and make-up from the skin without stripping or drying out my face. It contains blueberry extract and honey that work together to hydrate and tone the skin. Make sure you apply your eye cream before going to the next step! ;)

Next up is the T.L.C Framboos Glycolic Night Serum. If you are to only buy one of the Drunk Elephant products, it would have to be this one! This night serum really is a miracle worker! It contains 10% AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) which works to gently resurface the skin by lifting away dead skin cells and helps to promote collagen production. This means it reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles!! Yay!

Last but not least is the star product of the whole DE line. This 100% Virgin Marula Oil is like "rehab for your skin"! Just a few drops go a LONG way. The oil quickly absorbs into the skin leaving it hydrated but not oily or greasy.

This skincare line is one of the most incredible and best group of products that I have ever used! I have tried products that range from high-end to drugstore and in my opinion, nothing even compares to these products. Yes these products may be a little pricey for some but I believe that taking care of your skin should be an investment that you care willing to make. Before I made this purchase I did some MAJOR research on the DE line to make sure that is was going to be worth my money. Everything I saw was very positive and so far the results really speak for themselves. I tell everyone I know about this brand and I even have my mom using it as well!

I hope you all enjoyed today's post! I know it was a little long but I hope that I provided some useful information and have made you as much of a fan of Drunk Elephant as I am!

My Favorite Face Masks #FacialFriday

Friday, August 5

Happy Friday!

I don't know about you but this week flew! Yay for the weekend!

Today I am sharing with you my favorite face mask products. What's even better is that all of these masks are super affordable and the one high end mask that I talk about, I actually have a drugstore dupe for! If you have been following my blog for a while you will know that I love to read myself to a nice relaxing face mask treatment on a Friday night to help me relax and unwind from a long week (yes I know, super exciting life it live haha). So hopefully today inspires you to want and do the same for yourself as a #FacialFriday treat.

Brightening Masks:

I love a good brightening mask! Both of these makes can be found at CVS. I am a huge fan of sheet masks as well. They are so convenient and are great for travel. I like to store mine in the refrigerator so that when I want to apply one the cold mask helps to soothe the skin as well as tighten my pores. Also, this Brightening Radiance mask from Beauty 360 retails for $3.99 , how can you beat that!? Just leave it on for 5-10 minutes and peel off to reveal a brighter, healthy looking complexion. Next up is a Sleep Mask from Enlite Beauty. I seriously cannot get enough of this brand! Every product that I have tried is just incredible! I love the whole sleep mask concept. Instead of setting time aside to do a face mask, this Night Brite sleep mask is applied right before bed and then off to sleep you go! In the morning you wake up to a more radiant, glowing complexion.

Firming Masks:

If you don't know by now, I am all about preventive skincare! When it come to wrinkles I have a handle on fighting the aging process and NO I don't mean Botox, I feel I'm WAY too young for that, but I definitely invest in anti-aging skincare products. These masks help to ward off any unwanted lines and winkles that may be starting to make their home on my face haha. First up is another sheet mask from Beauty 360. This Anti-Aging Plumping sheet mask contains Micro Collagen to boot skins hydration while visibly firming the look of fine lines and wrinkles. Next up is one of the coolest masks I have even used, and the most effective at firming! The GlamGlow Gravity Mud mask is a unique peel off treatment that instantly helps to tighten the skin. Once applied, sit and relax for
20- 30 minutes looking like the Tin Man (the mask is a cool silver color) and then the fun part, peeling the mask off. Now this mask is in the higher end, it retails for $69 but don't worry, keep scrolling I have a drugstore dupe for you!

Drugstore Dupes:

Surprise, surprise! More Enlite Beauty! As I mentioned above I have a dupe for the GlamGlow GravityMud mask. The Liquid Assets detoxifying peel off mask is, in my opinion, an absolute dupe for it's pricier twin and the results are just as amazing! Not only is a quarter of the price but you get more product as well! How can you beat it?! The Enlite Beauty Glow For It is also a dupe for GlamGlow's SuperMud Clearing treatment. I love to use this mask whenever my skin starts to break out during a certain time of the month ;). It contains volcanic ash extract and Spanish clay to help detoxify the skin and dry up any impurities. As an added bonus, once the mask is dry and ready to rinse off, it contains little exfoliating beads so you get a nice scrub to make you skin feel and look even cleaner!

I hope you all enjoyed today's post! Let me know what some of your favorite masks are and if you have tried any of the ones I mentioned above.

Thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great weekend!

July Favorites! #MirrorMirrorMonday

Monday, August 1

Happy Monday everyone!

It's officially August 1st and you know what that means!?
Time for my July favorites! I rounded up all of my favorite beauty product I have been obsessing over this past month and a few other things that I have been enjoying. I really don't know where the summer is going! I hope this month slows down a bit before we get back into the cold months haha!
Thank you all so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoy!

All things PINEAPPLE! I don't what it is, but I have been obsessed with them! I purchased the lamp from Target, the dish, phone case and jewelry holder (sold out online) from Charming Charlie and the towels are from Home Goods. Pineapples are said to symbolize worth, welcome, friendship and hospitality. :)

I have incorporated these two facial cleaning products into my nighttime skincare routine. I love the whole "Yes To" line and these Yes to Blueberries Facial Cleansing wipes are so great! The wipes themselves are super thick and durable and they don't leave any residue on your skin after wiping your makeup off. After washing with my Oil cleanser, my last step is this MD Complete Restoring Cleanser. This magical cleanser is the most amazing thing I have ever used to wash my face. I look at my skin in awe because of this face wash. I love the consistency of it and I love how clean my face feels after too! What's even better is that both of these items can be found at Target and CVS!

I have been a big fan of the Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black perfume for a while now, so when I ran out of my Drybar Detox dry shampoo I seized the opportunity to give this one a shot. This dry shampoo smells so yummy! I love the way it absorbs any excess oil in my hair as well. I will definitely be purchasing the full size once this one runs out.

I was starting to run out of my Tarte Tarteist mascara and wanted to try a different kind. WOW, July was the month of replacements haha ;) I kept seeing the commercial for the Super Sizer Fibers mascara with Zendaya and who wouldn't want to look like her haha STUNNING! I also figured I love Covergirl mascaras so I knew I would probably like it and I was so right! I really like the way this mascara makes my lashes look. Extra long and super pretty!

Okay time to obsess a little more about this line!!!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Enlite Beauty line that is sold exclusively at CVS. I did a whole review on the line a few Monday's and this line has quickly replaced even the most expensive of products that I use! This whole line is truly amazing and if you haven't gotten the chance to try it out yet, I highly recommend that you do! Everything from the packaging the the smell of each product is incredible! Enlite Beauty was definitely my favorite beauty  products for the entire month of July!

I have had a FitBit for the past 3 years and up until recently I had only been wearing it at night to track my sleep. My old FitBit was starting to go so I decided to invest in a new one. I purchased the FitBit Alta in Blue with a replacement Blush Pink leather band and I am obsessed with it. It has made me more aware of how much I am sitting and how active I am being. I tend to sit a lot at work so this forces me to get up and start moving. Plus this version displays the time and date as well as alerting me if I get a text message or phone call on my cell! So cool!

I you saw my review on Friday you will already know how much I love Veestro. This is an all plant based, Vegan meal delivery service made with all organic, preservative free ingredients that's delivered right to your doorstep, no preparation or cooking involved. Simply heat up and serve and you have a healthy, nutritious meal with all the extra work.

This book was AMAZING!! I couldn't put it down when I was reading it! I cannot wait to see the movie when it comes out in October. The twist at the end is SO GOOD! The Girl on the Train is quite the page turner and definitely keep me interested.

If you are looking of your next binge watching show, you MUST, MUST, MUST watch Stranger Things!!!!! Everything about this show was incredible! From the acting to the actors themselves to the whole story line, I couldn't and still can't get enough of this show! I recommended it to my cousin and I think she binge watched the whole first season in two days haha! For anyone who loves the 80's and a good Sci-Fi Thiller, you need to watch this show!

I hope you all enjoyed today's post! Let me know what some of your favorites where this month and if you have tried any of the products listed above.

Have a great week!
