Happy Friday!!!
Since September is officially in full swing, I figured it's about time I rounded up my monthly favorites from August! These are some of my favorite posts to do because I love looking back on the past month and seeing which products I grabbed for the most and all of the other little goodies I came across as well. August was a pretty quiet month for me and it seemed to have been the fastest month as well but it was definitely a great month none the less.
Here's a look at all my favorites in beauty, books, and movies from this past month.
Beauty:
IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Foundation: Since I have stopped self-tanning I am back to my 'normal' skin tone and have had to transition back to my lighter color foundations haha! I have been a HUGE fan of IT Cosmetics for a very long time and I forgot how much I loved their Bye Bye Foundation. This is a full coverage moisturizer plus it has a SPF of 50! It's super quick and easy to apply, I just take a pump or two and dot it all over my face and blend out with my Morphe M439 brush and my skin is instantaneously flawless. A little goes a long way and you will be blown away by the results. Plus it really holds up throughout the day with is fantastic as well!
Clean- Reserve Sueded Oud Parfum: This smells so yummy! I was looking for a nice new fragrance to take me into the Fall months. This such a warm beautiful scent. It had a hint of tobacco to it making it a little masculine but feminine at the same time. I have gotten to many compliments of it when I wear it. I am pretty much done with the travel size so I will definitely be purchasing the full size soon.
Enlite Beauty Night Brite & Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair: This dynamic duo has completely transformed my skin. I use both of these products as part of my night routine and when I wake up and look at my face in the mirror I am in awe! My skin has a more even tone and almost looks airbrushed. Plus the Enlite Night Brite makes my face smell like a creamsicle! But aside from smelling good, they really do work! I would highly recommend trying them out for yourself no matter what age you are.
E.L.F Hydrating Bubble Mask: I LOVE this mask! It is so much fun to do and it leaves my skin positively glowing after I use it. Plus it's super inexpensive but the results are that of a high end face mask. This will be the perfect mask to use now that the air is getting a little colder and dryer. It'll keep you looking refreshed and hydrated all Autumn long.
HUM Nutrition Runway Ready: I have spoken about the vitamins in detail many months ago but I am still in love with them. I thinks it's so important to take care of your body any way you can by eating healthy, being active and taking vitamins and supplements. Because of these supplements my nails are stronger, my skin is more radiant and my hair is so shiny and healthy. If you are interested in trying these vitamins out for yourself, head over to humnutrition.com take their short little questionnaire and you'll save $10 on your first order! Books:
The Woman in Cabin 10: This book was SO amazing! I had been on the hunt for another good book after I finished The Girl on the Train and I wanted to find something similar to that type of read. I love mystery/suspense novels and this book did not disappoint. It was such a great story and kept you guessing up until the last few chapters. It is up there as one of my top reads!
In a Dark, Dark Wood: Okay so technically this isn't one of my August favorites as I am currently reading it but I had to mention this! I am half way though this book and it is REALLY good! It is by the same author who wrote The Woman in Cabin 10. I love the way she tells the story! She gets your brain working right from the start and keeps you guessing. I cannot wait to see how this novel ends!
Me Before You: I still shed a tear thinking about how much I loved this film. What an incredible move. This movie is based on a book by the same name. I hadn't read the book only watched the film. I am obsessed with the two actors in the film as well, they really brought the film to life and made it truly memorable. If you haven't seen it yet, I would highly recommend grabbing a box of Kleenex and watching it.
Star Wars The Force Awakens: After watching this movie I thought about it for days after. I cannot believe how good it was. I mean it is a Star Wars movie so I knew it was going to be good but, WOW! So amazing! Again the acting was incredible and the visuals of the film were out of this world! I cannot wait to see what the next film has in store! Only 461 days to go haha!!
I hope you all enjoyed todays post! Let me know what some of your August favorites were and if you have tried any of the products I mentioned above.
Thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great weekend!
